Important: The workshop will be conducted in English.
In this full-day workshop, you will build your own pair of personalized shoes – from the sole to the final finishing touches. At the end of the day, you put them on and walk home wearing the shoes you made yourself.
You will be making the Open Barefoot model – a minimalist barefoot shoe.
The workshop combines design, hands-on making, and open manufacturing. You will work with open-source OpenFootwear designs and learn how shoes can be produced locally, customized to the individual, and made without industrial mass production. No prior experience is required.
Instructors:
The workshop is led by Veronika and Juraj, the inventors and designers of OpenFootwear. They will guide you through every step of the process – from fitting the shoe to your foot to the finished, wearable result.
