Lathe course
In this introductory course, you will receive a practical introduction to the world of metalworking—and at the end, you can take home your own hand-turned candlestick.
Together, we will familiarize ourselves with the basics of turning: from securely clamping the material to cutting and shaping to various surface treatments. Step by step, you will learn how to work with metal precisely and in a controlled manner and which tools are suitable for which steps.
After a brief introduction to the materials and machines, you will go straight to the lathe: you will design your own metal candlestick – simple, modern, or playful, depending on your idea and style. You will practice basic techniques such as planning, external and internal turning, and creating decorative contours.
The workshop is perfect for anyone who is curious about metalworking, would like to try their hand at the lathe, or wants to create a durable, handcrafted object. No prior knowledge is required—the course is aimed at beginners and anyone aged 16 and over who is interested.
All materials and tools are provided.
