Working with the hand router
Basics and creative applications with Maddin
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to use the hand router—one of the most important and versatile electric hand tools in woodworking—safely and in a variety of ways.
The workshop begins with an introduction to the technology, different types of routers, and safety rules.
Participants then try out various applications on their own. Edge processing, grooving, rebating, and milling decorative profiles and shapes. We look at examples of how to use templates, tools, and useful accessories.
Participants are welcome to bring their own machines and cutters and use them after a professional/technical inspection. No prior knowledge is required; the workshop is suitable for beginners as well as hobby craftsmen who want to deepen their skills. To work safely, participants must wear close-fitting work clothes and sturdy closed shoes.
