Textile printing using screen printing
As with our large machine training courses in our ZAM wood workshop, you can learn the basics of screen printing in our ZAM printing workshop. This course will then enable you to print independently.
Preparing the motif:
We start by creating the screen printing film (stencil), which requires a graphic that serves as a template for printing. You will learn: Photoshop settings for raster graphics printing
Preparing the screen:
A motif is transferred to a stencil (screen). The screen is coated with emulsion and exposed. You will learn: Coating, exposing, washing out
Preparing the print:
Aligning the motif: The frame with the motif is positioned and aligned. You will learn: Screen alignment, masking, frame spacing
Printing the motif:
Spread the printing ink evenly over the motif with a squeegee. You will learn: ink application, squeegee printing, printing process sequence.
Post-treatment:
The ink must dry and then be heat-set.
Screen follow-up:
The screen is cleaned, de-coated, and degreased.
Information about the ink:
We use special water-based textile inks for the printing process.
Optional items to bring with you:
A digital motif (e.g., embroidery) max. DIN A5 in black and white and a fabric to be printed on (bag, T-shirt, etc.).
Note: The material price includes one print on fabric per person. Additional costs will be calculated according to material and consumption in accordance with our price list.
